As a pro photographer I believe the strongest portraits are not about posing — they’re about presence. This is Brisbane racing trainer Brian Wakefield, photographed in his stable near our studio. The brief was simple: create a portrait that reflected experience, authority, and quiet confidence, without artifice. Shot on location, using controlled natural light, this image speaks to who Brian is a
Something a little different. This Tawny Frogmoutch was rescued by Mark and raised to adulthood. The first person he saw when he opened his eyes was Mark's wife Debra and he came to her whenever she called him. Every afternoon he would return to the back deck and call out to Debra. This image plus some others were reproduced in a book on the birds.
